The term “One Health” emerged from the synergistic harmful effects of the ongoing ‘Complex Health Problems’ of the 21st century. The “intellectual origin” of One Health begins with the invention of the term “zoonosis” by Rudolf Virchow in the 19th century. The “One Health Thought” maintained its place in the literature simultaneously with scientific developments in the first half of the 20th century with the approach of “Public Health” and “Veterinary Public Health” from 1946 to 1965, and “One Medicine” in the last half.
