Ohio State faculty and staff attended a conference hosted by Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative, the Ethiopian government, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the NIH Fogarty International Center with the theme, “Building Critical Mass and Sustaining Health Research Capacity in Ethiopia,” to highlight collaborative projects between Ohio State and its global partners, and to advocate for sustained investment for research and capacity building in the region.

Commemoration of Global One Health Day: Theme: Strengthening One Health Collaboration for Resilient Communities

VSF-Suisse Ethiopia, working in close collaboration with the Somali Regional One Health Task Force (ROHTF) and the National One Health Secretariat (NOHS), is spearheading efforts to support the 2025 Global One Health Day commemoration to be held on 10 November 2025 in Jigjiga City at Duule Luxury Hotel. Celebrated under the theme “Strengthening One Health Collaboration for Resilient Communities,” the event aims to advance integrated action across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
