GEO Health Community of Practice Highlights One Health Activities for One Health Day 2025

To highlight the One Health activities of six Work Groups in 2025, the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Health Community of Practice prepared a series of One Health articles (https://www.geohealthcop.org/publications) that were published on the GEO Blog (https://earthobservations.org/about-us/news). The six articles were titled: 1) How Earth Intelligence can help improve air quality and respiratory health (https://tinyurl.com/2bh2syak); 2) How Earth Intelligence can help advance extreme heat and health resilience (https://tinyurl.com/34h7n7f7); 3) Transforming food security and safety: the role of Earth Intelligence in global food systems (https://tinyurl.com/3nuu8rda); 4) Earth intelligence and One Health: applying transdisciplinary insights to animal health (https://tinyurl.com/4fmf45v6); 5) The contributions of Earth intelligence to infectious disease surveillance and risk monitoring (https://tinyurl.com/ynwshvrk); and 6) Earth Intelligence and health care infrastructure: strengthening global health security (https://tinyurl.com/45tyymfk). These Work Groups – Air Quality, Animal Health, Food Security and Safety, Health Care Infrastructure, Heat, and Infectious Diseases – have collectively prepared these articles and white papers that describe emerging global health challenges and showcase activities that incorporate novel approaches to using Earth observation data to enhance health decision-making.
