ERADICATION OF ANIMAL HUMAN BRUCELLOSIS IN UGANDA

Brucella is rapid growing bacterial infection claiming recurrent fevers in humans, animals , increasing household expenses on medication of people and animals that abort and spoiling the future progeny generation of kids born top positive women with brucella since it has a cerebral impact on brain development & morphology thence congenital anomalies. Need for serological brucella tests needs to be done in livestock since they are the source for infection to humans through various body entrance points when delt with. Remedy: 1. Test and slaughter. 2. Screening and implementing vaccinations . 3. On milk tests for brucella and emphasising rapid test kits at farms. 4. Tasking government to include brucella in notifiable diseases and thence becoming trade sensitive.
