One Health Dialogue: From Community to Policy (एक स्वास्थ्य संवाद: समुदायदेखि नीतिसम्म)

World One Health Day 2026 will be celebrated in Waling Municipality, Nepal, under the theme “One Health Dialogue: From Community to Policy.” The event will feature a student-led street drama illustrating the interconnectedness of human, animal, plant, and environmental health through locally relevant challenges, including rabies, antimicrobial resistance, unsafe pesticide use, and food safety. Following the performance, a journalist-moderated One Health Dialogue will bring together municipal leaders, public health, veterinary and agriculture experts, farmers, cooperatives, students, and community representatives to discuss practical solutions and shared responsibilities. Building on Waling Municipality’s endorsed One Health policy, the event aims to translate community awareness into multisectoral action and stakeholder commitments. Led by Waling Municipality with technical support from Heifer International Nepal, the initiative seeks to demonstrate a locally led One Health approach that can inspire other municipalities across Nepal.
