One Health Animal Health Lecture

For the concluding event for One Health Week at the University of Connecticut, we will be hosting two speakers join us in discussing animal health and epidemiology focused on one health. Our speakers are Dr. Lech Szkudlarek, a federal veterinarian and scrapie epidemiologist for USDA, and Dr. Shannon LaDeau, a disease ecologist from the Cary Institute. These two one health experts will be sharing about their experiences in their respective fields and educating attendees on animal health issues including diseases followed by discussion and questions from student facilitators and attendees.
