CARPHA's 3rd One Health Multidisciplinary Workshop to Promote Integrated Surveillance for Foodborne Diseases and Zoonoses


The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) will host its 3rd One Health Multidisciplinary Workshop on 11–12 November 2026 in Trinidad and Tobago, bringing together representatives from 13 CARPHA Member States and regional and international partners across the human, animal, environmental and laboratory health sectors. Building on progress made during the 2024 and 2025 workshops, this year's event will focus on advancing integrated surveillance, early warning and information sharing for foodborne diseases and zoonoses across the Caribbean. Through technical discussions, country-level data mapping and a multisectoral simulation exercise, participants will strengthen One Health collaboration, enhance outbreak preparedness and support the operationalisation of CARPHA's Regional Integrated Early Warning and Surveillance System (RIEWSS).
